Does mealtime seem so busy with your young children that sometimes you forget to "talk" as a family?

Make mealtime fun with kids!  Think of some interesting questions or discussion topics and write them on index cards or slips of paper.  Place the cards in bowl or jar. Take turns drawing a card at a meal and have all family members answer the questions - even the adults.   Be creative!

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Would you rather be a dog, a bird, or a horse? Why?
  • When you feel sad, what cheers you up?
  • What crunchy food do you like the best?
