Go NAPSACC is a trusted process that helps child care facilities go the extra mile to support children’s healthy eating and physical activity. Go NAPSACC is designed for facilities that care for children from the ages of birth to 5 years old.

Step Up to Quality
Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) is Nebraska’s Quality Rating and Improvement System, which assists early childhood programs in improving quality and increasing positive child outcomes for Nebraska's children. Go NAPSACC fits right in with the goals of SUTQ. Child care facilities can earn SUTQ points by participating in Go NAPSACC.
How does Go NAPSACC fit into Step Up to Quality?
Step Up to Quality programs interested in achieving Step 2 must complete the Go NAPSACC Pre Self–Assessment.
Earn up to 9 points in Steps 3 and higher by completing the following:
- Go NAPSACC Training
- Action Plan Completed
- Incorporate a nutrition. and/or physical activity curriculum
- Complete the Go NAPSACC Post Self–Assessment
The 5 Steps of Go NAPSACC
Go NAPSACC walks early childhood programs through five simple steps to make healthy changes to their program. The process includes the following key elements;
- Assess current practices: Take a self-assessment to find areas for improvement
- Learn more: Complete Go NAPSACC training modules and learn new skills to help kids be healthy
- Create an action plan: Use the action planning tool to determine next steps towards your goals.
- Reach your goals: Use the library of tips and materials to put plans into action.
- Reassess and celebrate progress: Update your self-assessment to show progress and make plans to continue to improve.
