In the United States, colorectal cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and in women, and the second most common cause of cancer deaths when men and women are combined. When should you get screened for colon cancer? Encourage everyone over the age of 45 to get screened regularly for colon cancer.
