Peach Cooler

Yield: 4 servings (1 cup each)
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups low-fat milk
  • 1 (15 oz.) can drained, canned peaches (or 2 cups of sliced, fresh peaches)
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • dash of nutmeg (if desired)

Directions:

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Put the ingredients in a blender. Blend well.
  3. Sprinkle with nutmeg if you like.
  4. Serve cold.
Smoothie in a cup

Peach Raspberry Smoothie

Yield: 1 serving
Ingredients:
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries
  • ½ cup frozen peach slices
  • ¾ cup 100% orange juice
  • ½ cup plain or vanilla yogurt

Directions:

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
Notes:

This is a great basic smoothie recipe. Feel free to substitute any fresh or frozen fruit, juice or yogurt that you may have on hand. Here are a few ideas:

  • Fresh or frozen strawberries, cherries, blueberries, mixed berries, mango, or peaches
  • Pineapple juice, orange-tangerine juice, and other 100 percent juice blends
  • Different yogurt flavors such as peach or strawberry
