About EFNEP

EFNEP helps families and youth with limited financial resources develop practical skills for healthier lives. Through community-based, relationship-driven, hands-on education, participants learn to make nutritious food choices, be physically active, prepare and handle food safely, and make the most of their food resources.

What Participants Learn

EFNEP provides practical, hands-on education in four core areas:
 

Diet Quality

Learn to make nutritious food and drink choices, prepare healthy recipes, and use food labels.

Colorful fruits and vegetables.

Physical Activity

Learn ways to be more active by making small changes throughout the day.
