This national action week focuses on raising awareness about prevention, disease management and treatment for arthritis, back pain, trauma, pediatric conditions, and osteoporosis. Eating a well-balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D and getting plenty of physical activity are a couple ways to improve bone health according to the NIH Osteoporosis and Related Bone Diseases National Resource Center.
