Lynn DeVries is an Early Childhood Extension Educator at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Lynn has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska Kearney in Vocational Family and Consumer Science Education, and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Nebraska. She holds an endorsement as <i>IMH-E®</i><br><i>Infant Family Specialist, Endorsed Reflective Supervisor. </i>Lynn works with childcare professionals, families, and schools to promote developmentally appropriate practices and enhance parent engagement throughout the child’s education.<br> <br>As an Early Childhood Educator, Lynn strives to give all children in Nebraska the opportunity to learn and grow by supporting their caregivers in providing responsive, stimulating learning environments and strengthening early care and education settings with innovative and impactful research-based practices. Lynn passion lies in supporting the social emotional well-being of early childhood caregivers and young children and creating responsive programs centered on developmentally appropriate research-based practices.<br> <br>Lynn's signature program is Cultivating Healthy, Intentional, Mindful Educators - CHIME. Lynn facilitates CHIME for childcare professionals and families both in-person and online. CHIME is taught over 8 weeks and promotes mindfulness strategies for one’s own self-care and social emotional growth and strategies to model for children in their care. She enjoys developing supportive relationships with both childcare professionals and families in CHIME and seeing the growth that takes place in developing new habits as responsive caregivers.<br> <br>Lynn is currently collaborating with the K.N.E.W. project with the UNL team to develop, design and build the professional development courses and facilitate reflective consultation sessions for participants.<br>
