The 2025 National Health Outreach and Engagement Conference will consist of presentations, workshops, panels, and posters that explore innovative approaches to health promotion through collaboration and partnerships. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Partnerships: Growing Collaborations for Health Promotion,” emphasizes the role of multisector partnerships and collaboration in implementing programs, as well as policy, systems, and environmental change (PSE) approaches that promote health for all people. 

Attendees will learn from experts and peers within topic tracks including:

  • Support & Outreach for Older Adults
  • Increasing Capacity for Community Health Work
  • Rural Health & Outreach
  • Mental Health Support & Outreach
  • Substance Use Prevention
  • Health & Engagement for All People
  • Chronic Disease Prevention
  • Healthy Food Access
  • Plus, other relevant and timely topics that may fall outside of these broad categories

 

What attendees can expect & WHAT TO BRING:

Conference attendees will be able to select from 40+ concurrent presentation sessions and view 70+ poster displays/presentations covering a variety of health outreach and engagement topics/efforts from across the nation.

All conference activities will take place in one convenient space. Click on the agenda linked at the top of this webpage for conference details.

PLEASE BRING: 

  • Your own professional nametag, as no personalized conference nametags will be provided 

  • Business cards to share with fellow attendees as you connect throughout the conference 

  • For presenters: USB drive with backup presentation slides and/or printed poster

How to Access Conference Materials:  

Conference Agenda  

  • The full, detailed agenda will be accessible throughout the conference via the link at the top of this webpage. We recommend you save the digital PDF to the Notes app (or similar app) on your phone for convenience. Attendees are also welcome to pre-print the agenda for themselves, as desired.  

  • A brief, 1-sheet agenda will be available for pick-up to all attendees via printed copies at the registration desk.  

Poster Session Proceedings  

  • The full, detailed listing of poster titles and locations will be available for pick-up to all attendees via printed copies at the registration desk.  

Attendees and presenters may connect separately about slide sharing, as desired. Please note conference sessions will not be recorded, and slides will not be made available to attendees via the NHOC planning team.  

Meals & Snacks:  

Meals and snacks will be provided throughout the conference and served on buffet lines. The hotel will do its best to accommodate and label common dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian) on the buffet line.

Complimentary breakfast (1st Floor Atrium) is available from 6am-9am to overnight guests. If you are not staying at Embassy Suites and indicated on your registration that you plan to eat breakfast April 30th and May 1st, please collect your complimentary breakfast vouchers when you first check-in at the conference registration desk. There will be a drop box for vouchers in the breakfast area each morning.

NHOC 2025 will be held at Embassy Suites by Hilton Omaha Downtown Old Market.

Hotel Amenities for Overnight Guests:

  • Most rooms include a safe, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and iron
  • Reduced self-parking rate of $18.00 per day/night per vehicle

Travel & Parking:

The conference hotel is conveniently located 4 miles from Eppley Airfield (OMA). Links below provide information about local ground transportation between the airport and hotel.

NHOC 2025 attendees may park in the Embassy Suites parking lot on the south side of the hotel for a reduced daily rate of $18 per vehicle. If you indicated need for a daytime parking pass on your registration, please collect a discounted daily parking sticker from the conference registration desk after parking your vehicle in the designated lot each day. This sticker will be used to receive the discounted rate when leaving the parking lot. Discounted overnight parking for hotel guests will be handled at hotel check-in, and not at the conference registration desk. 

Public parking is also available downtown in the Old Market. Nearby, there is both metered street parking and a Park Omaha 10th & Jackson Garage at 1011 Jackson Street, Omaha, NE 68102. Daily parkers can park for $2/day Monday-Thursday in this lot using the Park Omaha app.
