Nebraska Extension's Calendar of Food Days, Weeks and Months is a monthly, web-based food-themed calendar. It provides resources for selected national food-themed days, weeks, and months. We hope this provides you inspiration for blogs, tweets, programs, and articles.
Physical activity improves health and fitness, helps maintain a healthy body weight and helps reduce the risk for several chronic diseases and conditions. Physical activity needs vary based on age, but no matter what your needs are, they can be met through different types of activities and varying amounts each week.
The Nebraska Nutrition Education Program (NEP) is funded by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Education (SNAP-Ed) and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). NEP works with limited resource families, youth, individuals, and their environments to improve the likelihood that they will make healthy food choices within a limited budget and choose physically active lifestyles consistent with the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the USDA food guidance.
