Come wave along 30th Street for the 1pm Florence Days Parade, then head to the Florence Mill at 30th & I-680 for history, art, agriculture and family friendly-fun!
Florence Days Saturday, May 12:
- Fun in the field: 2-5 PM...Pony rides, Bailey's Birds and Bubbles
- Art Exhibit in the ArtLoft: "Simply Agrarian" Selections from Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art in David City Nebraska,
- Art-Talk: 2:30 Art-Talk by Amanda Mobeley Guenther, Curator of Bone Creek Museum. Come hear about the exhibit AND Nebraska's newest art museum.
- History: 3 PM...Nebraska Humanities Council presenter, Renae Hunt, will present a living-history program for all ages: "Children on the Overland Trail.”
Mother's Day Sunday, May 13
Music in the drive-shed: A mother-son musical duo will play from3-4 pm. Just like most mothers and their children, they play in the same space...but independently. Featured is Julie Ashton on dulcimer and Luke Ashton on bagpipes.
- Luke will be leaving Omaha this fall to play bagpipes in college.
- Free Ollie the Trolley rides from 1-3 PM to transport visitors to museums, historical sites, cultural locations, outdoor fun, and local dining-spots. Compliments of the Kiwanis Clubs of Florence and North Omaha.

The Market at Midtown Crossing
Hello, I am happy to announce that I will be managing the Midtown Crossing Mid-Week Farmer's Market this season and I would like to share some details with you.
The Mid-Week Market will be…
• Moved to Wednesdays from 4:00 pm -7:00
• Open June 6 – August 8
• Sponsored by Wohlner's Neighborhood Grocery & Deli
• Held in the parking garage to the south of Wohlner’s door at 33rd & Farnam
• Featuring only locally made and raised food products
• Not offering crafts, services, or concessions
• Offering grilling in front of Wohlner’s and local beer & wine specials inside the store
• Offering vendors free parking
• Offering vendors a full refund of fees if they sign up for and attend at least 9 sessions
• Marketing to area chefs in particular and utilizing a web site as a way for them to place orders online to be picked up at the market
• Offering space in Wohlner’s coolers for anyone (customer or vendor) wanting to stop for dinner or a movie
• Limited to 20 vendors at the most, seasonal with some weekly spots available
• Offering height clearance to the garage at 8’, so consider if your vehicle will fit
• Recommending vendors consider adding Wednesday wholesale deliveries on your way to the market
• Recommending vendors consider using the market as a CSA drop off spot
• Accepting seasonal applications now through April 20th, do not send payment until approval
• Accepting seasonal fees upon approval by May 25th
• Accepting weekly applications on a rolling basis, weekly fees due on site
